Olvio Theater

A different interpretation of the well-known myth of Hercules, presented with accuracy and humor to attract children of all ages. The humorous approach to the myth of Hercules is enhanced by the comic book aesthetics used in the performance.

The 14 actors, graduates of the Drama School of Karolos Koun’s Art Theater, present the familiar story of the demigod Hercules, according to the codes of improvisation and physical theater, providing young audiences with the opportunity for a different, experiential approach to mythology.

The life and labors of Hercules are presented in an original way, as the actors bring to life on stage the spaces, objects, and elements of nature with their bodies: a museum with statues, a ring, Alcmene’s house, the forest, a cave, the Lernaean Hydra, musical instruments, Hades, and more.
