Creative Europe

Pedio Technis Theater Company has been the Greek partner of the Creative Europe program Jeune Théâtre Européen Jeune Public (JTEJP), led by the French National Theatre Espace des Arts, Scène Nationale Chalon-sur-Saône, and Jeune Théâtre National, along with four other participating organizations from corresponding countries: Art Veda (Tunisia), National University of Ireland Galway (Ireland), Staatstheater Mainz (Germany), and ArtFraction (Serbia).

Jeune Théâtre Européen Jeune Public was a European project researching multilingual theater, a form of theater that involves the coexistence of two or more languages on stage and explores ways of theatrical communication that do not rely solely on linguistic understanding. It is a trend experiencing significant growth and development in Europe as it seeks to unify theatrically a world already unified in terms of mobility. The program achieved to gather a group of artists from different countries and with different language backgrounds and cultures, working on various theatrical projects and touring across Europe.

As part of this, Pedio Technis Company presented the showcase of the theatrical performance “Borderline”, written by Venia Stamatiadi, directed by Eva Oikonomou-Vamvaka, and featuring Kostas Nikouli, Thanasis Kefalas and Venia Stamatiadi. The performance included Greek, Albanian and French and was presented at the Municipal Theater of Piraeus.
